    FAQ'S
Here we'll answer most of the commonly asked questions.

    ORDERING QUESTIONS

Q: I am ready to buy, what are my payment options?
A: At this point we only accept PayPal as a payment method. However you don’t have to have a PayPal account to place an order, you can use your credit or debit card through PayPal without creating an account with them.

Q: Can I order by phone?
A: No, at this point we only accept orders online through our secure online shopping card.

Q: Do you have a printed catalog?
A: No, at this time we do not have a printed catalog, and use this web site as our only sales tool.

    Q: Is this site secure?
A: Yes!  We take security very seriously!  Our check out system becomes secure when you get to the payments option page.  And, we never share your information with anyone under any circumstances!

Q: How will my items come?
A: We ship all of our orders via Royal Mail.

Q: Do you ship outside the UK.?  If so, what are your shipping costs?
A: Yes!  We ship to worldwide!  Our shopping cart will calculate the exact shipping cost for you.

Q: How long until I get my order?
A: Your product will be shipped within one week of receiving your order, unless you ordered a commissioned piece. Whilst we make every effort to ensure a fast delivery of your purchases, we recommend that you allow 21 days for UK orders (excluding Christmas and holiday periods). Overseas orders may take a little longer.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: We do hope that you will be satisfied with your purchase and enjoy it, however if you are not entirely happy for any reason, we will be happy to refund the full price of the purchase less any postage, providing the product is returned to us in the same condition as it was delivered to you (with an unbroken seal) within 14 days of receipt.

Q: Will the copyright messages appear on my prints or cards?
A: No, the watermark copyright banners which you see on the images on this website will not appear on your print.

Q: The images on the web site look a little fuzzy, or unclear...will my print or product look like that?
A: Please be aware that due to different colour representations, the hue of your print may differ very slightly from that visible on the web. This is due to the limitations of computer monitors. Generally the colours are more vibrant when printed.

Q:  Can I use Fred's art for on-line graphics, e-cards, MySpace page layouts, etc.
A:  No, all images are copyright to Fred Winkler Art. But you can buy PSP tubes from http://www.creativedesignoutlet.com for use as Tags, E-Stationery and for on-line hobby graphics use.  Please note, purchasing a package at CDO does NOT allow you to use Fred's art for any "for profit" venture or product.  It simply allows graphics enthusiasts to use Fred's work for fun without violating his copyright.

Q: What if I just want to post a few of Fred's pieces on my site and link to Fred's site?
A:  Thank you!  Please feel free to display a few of Fred's images on your site with watermarks in tact, as long as you link back to us with a text link or banner link.  The following are our banner that you can feel free to use for this purpose:

    QUESTIONS FOR THE ARTIST

Q: I'm doing a report on Fred, can I ask him questions?
A: Yes! Generally that isn’t a problem. But please give him enough time to get back to you.

Q: I would like to know more about Fred as an artist.
A: You may want to check out his Facebook Fan Page at: www.facebook.com/GothicFantasyArt.  Fred himself maintains this page and shares personal insights to his art often.

Q: Where does Fred get his inspiration?
A: Fantasy and mythology have always been big passions of Fred and he gets his inspirations from many places.  In an article about how he creates his work he said: "I am greatly inspired by nature, so it is important for me to spend time walking, sitting, pondering, or dwelling and waiting for inspiration to strike. That inspiration can come from something as simple as a butterfly or a bee hopping from flower to flower. It can even come from just watching the sunset. It has to be the greatest show on earth. That fantastic display is there everyday and doesn’t cost us a penny. It’s surprising how much inspiration can come from something so simple. When you really take the time to stop and appreciate these things then life brings on a new meaning. This is what I express through my art. We live on a truly beautiful planet, but we get so caught up with things that we don’t always have the time to recognise that. Art can be that reminder."

Q: I want to meet Fred in person, is that possible?
A: At the moment Fred is busy with painting and writing his novel, but check his updates regularly for any  festival or signing appearances.

Q: What is Fred working on next?
A: Having had a problem with my hand early 2011 which left him unable to paint the traditional way he used to, and having had to completely transform the way he works, he’s realised one cannot predict ones own path. What can be said though is that since he started working with new technologies in the realms of 3D art, it has brought about some new revelations. This means he will be able to do things that nobody else is currently doing, blurring the boundaries of reality and fantasy, which he finds very exciting… so watch this space… and if you haven’t yet, why not sign up for the news updates or join him on facebook, twitter etc.
